Information you provide
When you contact us, we receive the name, email address, topic and message you submit. Our website may retain a private copy of the submission and send it to our mailbox. Please do not include passwords, Social Security numbers, bank or payment-card numbers, confidential employer records, or other sensitive documents.
If you submit a newsletter signup, we store the email address and signup record so we can manage your request. The newsletter is being prepared; signup does not promise an immediate email or a particular sending schedule. You can ask us to remove your signup by emailing the address above. Marketing emails, when sent, will include an unsubscribe option.
Where account functions are available, WordPress and WooCommerce handle account identifiers, email addresses and the information you provide in your profile. Passwords are handled through the account system; do not send them to us in a message. The store is currently being prepared and is not accepting paid orders. We will describe the payment provider and purchase-data handling before opening paid checkout.
Website and device information
Our hosting and website systems process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, which can include IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, request times and security events. Site cookies can support sign-in, sessions and remembering privacy choices. These technical records are separate from information you type into a calculator.
Use Manage consent to accept or reject optional cookies or change a previous choice. Necessary site functions may still use cookies. Browser settings can also delete or block cookies, although blocking necessary cookies may affect sign-in or other requested functions. FSF is not currently running Google Analytics or advertising pixels. We will update this notice and consent configuration before introducing those services.
Calculators, saved files and calendar exports
FSF’s current calculator designs perform calculations in your browser. Their form inputs are not submitted to FSF by the calculator. Where a tool offers Save, Print or Calendar export, you choose whether to create a file or send the result to your printer or calendar application. Saving a file is different from saving a plan in an FSF account; cloud plan storage is not currently offered.
Files can contain the labels, dates and amounts you entered. Anyone who can access your device, download folder, printed pages, backups or shared calendar may be able to read them. Calendar applications have their own privacy and sharing settings. Do not include account numbers or sensitive details in bill labels. FSF cannot remove a file or calendar entry you have exported to another service.
Why we use information and who handles it
We use information to operate and secure the website, respond to messages, manage requested signups and accounts, troubleshoot problems, and meet applicable legal obligations. Hostinger provides hosting and website email. WordPress, WooCommerce and their enabled integrations support website administration and account/store functions. FluentSMTP routes website email through the configured Hostinger mailbox. Complianz manages privacy choices. Its optional website-scanning and cookie-description services can receive our domain, detected cookie and plugin information; they are not a mechanism for uploading calculator entries.
Service providers process information needed for their functions. Information may be processed in countries other than your own. We may disclose information when legally required or reasonably necessary to protect rights, investigate misuse, or secure our services. Our current operation does not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. External links take you to independently operated websites governed by their own policies.
Retention and security
We retain information according to its purpose, including responding to requests, maintaining an account or requested signup, resolving problems and meeting legal obligations. Website email-delivery logs are configured for 14-day retention; copies in our mailbox, private form records and hosting backups have separate retention. Ask us to review or delete a record you no longer want retained. Some information may need to remain for security, legal or recordkeeping reasons, and backup copies may remain until normal replacement.
We use access controls and website security measures, but no website, email service or storage method can guarantee complete security. Keep your account password private and avoid submitting sensitive financial records.
Your choices and requests
Email hello@forgingsmartfutures.com to request access, correction or deletion of information you provided, withdraw a newsletter request, or raise a privacy concern. Depending on your location and the law applicable to FSF, you may have additional rights, including obtaining a copy of information or appealing a request decision. We may need to verify a request without collecting unnecessary information. If you disagree with our response, reply with Privacy appeal in the subject line; you may also contact your applicable privacy regulator. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
Our educational services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and address it.
Changes
We will update the date above when this policy changes and provide additional notice when appropriate. Changes to payment services, analytics, membership features or cloud storage will require a review of this policy before those features launch.
